Have You a Body Image Problem?

March 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Hi Folks,

We are delighted to tell you that help may be at hand.

A TV company has been asked by the BBC to research this issue and you have the opportunity to become involved.

The following info allows you to contact them and possibly be included in the ultimate program.

We extend our grateful thanks to them on your behalf for making this possible.

TV company called betty have been commissioned by the BBC to produce a film about adult sufferers of anorexia and bulimia. The aim is to feature women who are in their 30¹s, 40¹s or older who are underweight, whether it¹s a condition they recognize as a remission from earlier childhood or something that¹s developed later in life. The premise of the documentary is to ascertain whether women in their 30¹s and 40’s are now under more pressure to lose weight and be a certain size then perhaps their mothers felt at the same age. Its part of a season of films the BBC are making about body image and eating.

The aim of the programme is to demonstrate how anorexia and bulimia is not just a disease that exclusively targets teenage girls with low self-esteem.
According to recent research the increase in eating disorders among older women is phenomenal whether this is true or whether diagnoses is now more common is something we are looking into as part of our research. Recent studies also suggests a prevalence of eating disorders among pregnant women and new mothers.

I am looking to speak to women who are underweight who would be willing to share their stories and experiences. At this stage it¹s more for research only. Please feel free to contact me on 0207 290 0660 or email me at anoop.pandhal@betty.co.uk. All conversations are in confidence and there would be no obligation to take it any further.

To let you know more, betty is an independent television production company which has been making award-winning documentaries, drama, factual entertainment and formats since 2001. See www.betty.co.uk.

Looking forward to learning more about this.

Peter.

PS Such an important subject needs to be aired successfully and I therefore urge our readers to ‘Tell a friend’ about this.
Just send them an email link to this topic.

The US Robbing the EU - Or Just You and Me?

December 13th, 2007 · 1 Comment

When getting close to some of the authoritarian garbage churned out by many government officials and companies, I am left in despair about our future as individuals.

To a visitor from Mars it must look like we are continuing the Cadbury’s ‘Smash’ picture of many years ago. This time however it is real - not a comic-cut.

This is when I wish my name was Matt Cutts, just to be able to command everyone’s attention on the subject. Even he recently was guilty of humorous? mis-information.

This is the first of a series on how we get suckered.

Value Added Tax.

This is the bane of all living in the now expanded European Union of 27 Nations. Population around that of USA. Not small then eh!
The EU in its Greed and Confusion cannot agree on a standard rate for this TAX - But Can agree that almost anything we buy on-line has to be taxed for purchasers living in the EU.
Software has been set-up to help all those companies selling to us to identify where we live and take the money - one assumes on behalf of the local country and pays it to them?

This assumption was tested recently by one of our editors who was shocked to learn from one US supplier that they did not pay the money collected to anyone. ‘There is no system in place to do that’, was the overall conclusion. Wowee…..

What happens to the money? You’ve guessed it!
THEY JUST KEEP IT AS BUNCE.

Just where is the “VALUE ADDED”?

That’s a question perhaps for Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs?
- Commonly referred to officially as HMRC.
(Not sure Her Majesty approves of this?)

If this is true it brings me back to a much earlier point I made in another place about Clickbank.

Whilst continuing research on this, I would also point out that even using Paypal through many of these suppliers you still get charged for VAT. This can add up to 25% to your purchase cost.

However Paypal being a ‘Bank’ does not add it if not told to by supplier.

Watch out for this latest wheeze to get your money.

Would love to hear your stories about this and other possible ‘black-holes’ your money disappears into.

I will be continuing this series under the category “Legal Robbery”

What about Motivation?

July 25th, 2007 · No Comments

Motivation is a personal/animal thingmie.

Have not studied the “secret” or climbed the mountain of ” Love etc “. However need also can help drive all of us forward.  Imagine that you can turn $1 into $2 every day by doing or selling something. Then do it and you’re underway! Just keep repeating it until you have enough money for all you need/want.

Looking around I found a few of my friends doing what they do!

My Motivated friends.

That’s it for now!

Have a Great Day.

The world of internet junkies.

June 8th, 2007 · 5 Comments

Hi,

Glad you could visit!

It is simply amazing how many people want to make money on the net by simply churning their friends money and the program owner creaming off a regular take.  It reminds me of the penny waterfall system at the fairground. A few win. Most get greedy and lose. However the owner of the machine is never out of pocket. I guess we need to be liked and often get sucked in to spend because our friends are doing it and we can’t afford to lose face. Hmmm…

Mavrick Well! I have news for you. There is a number of ways you can have a real business and get fun and money from your efforts.  Other people will pay for your help. To find out more visit some of our Associates.
